He was born in Barcelona but has also Dutch and Cuban background and speaks 5 languages. Prior to his yachting career he used to be Sales & Marketing Manager for Helly Hansen in Spain for 10 years.

We check the status of the vessel’s registration, we make sure the ownership is 100% legitimate and the asset is not affected by any financial or legal burdens. We then organize the bill of sale and the change of title on the registration in the country and port of your choice.
Taxation is an important issue when making a rather large investment, especially for exporting goods. Depending on your needs we will provide the best advice regarding VAT regulations and eventual import taxes affecting your new asset, when to choose another flag and eventually changing the registration from private to commercial and applying for a charter license locally.
Before a vessel is offered for sale we make sure all the safety equipment certificates are up to date to comply with the YDSA/MCA Coding certificates as well as the Class Certificate when applicable (RINA, Bureau Veritas, ABS, DNV GL, Lloyd’s Register, etc.) We work with YDSA Nominated Surveyors and local representatives of the Classification Societies.
Aside from making sure the vessel is seaworthy and compliant with all safety equipment and certification regulations you may also want to have a Nominated Surveyor assess the state of the boat in terms of technical, functional and cosmetic aspects, signaling possible areas of wear and tear and providing an independent valuation of the asset you wish to buy or sell. We absolutely encourage such a survey when there is any doubt about the condition or the realistic market value of a yacht.

After completing the purchase of your yacht you may need to relocate her to another port, country or continent before even having hired any crew. If the distance is within the yacht’s range we are able to provide a full temporary crew to carry out the delivery with all the necessary legal requirements to complete the passage in a safe, reliable and swift manner. For delivery overseas we use companies such as DYT or Seven Star Yacht Transport.
For the last 8 years we have worked with a team of mechanical and electrical engineers and a number of selected subcontractors that specialize in teak decks and wood varnishing, paint, stainless steel repairs, gel coat polishing and protection.
